It is Time to Hit the Floor

boy praying on floor

At a church service……several churches were all assembled

for Convention. The church building was filled…. then

A wonderful thing happened…. the Praise Ministers ushered in the

presence of (God) Yahweh, the God who redeems. In an instant I hit

the floor on my knees….my spirit within said these words, ” I have

missed You so much! ” Take note sometimes we as God’s (Yahweh’s)

people get so caught up in doing so much for God. We neglect to spend

that vital time in His presence seeking His face! The Psalmist

David said in chapter 16:11 “You will show to me the path of life;

In Your presence is fullness of joy. At Your right hand are pleasures

forevermore. “Yes, wonderful life changing things happen when you and

I hit the floor. Let us take a closer look at the purpose of the floor

in Numbers 15:20 ” You shall offer up a cake of the first of your ground

meal as a heave offering: a heave offering of the threshing floor, so

shall you offer it up.” In the Bible days floor then was a stone or clay

platform used for threshing grain or part of a house on which the residents

walked. Question is…Have you and I made a floor in our homes specifically

for Abba Father? Listen to these instructions given to Ruth by her mother

in law Naomi in Ruth 3:2-4 (2) “Now Boaz, whose young women you were with,

Is he not our relative ? In fact, he is winnowing barley tonight at the

threshing floor. (3) ” Therefore, wash yourself and anoint yourself, put on

your best garment and go down to the threshing floor; but do not make your

self-known to the man, until he has finished eating and drinking. (4) ” Then

it shall be when he lies down, that you shall notice the place where he lies,

and you shall go in, uncover his feet, and lie down; and he will tell you

what you should do. ” Listen to Ruth’s reply to Naomi her mother-in-law (5)

And she said to her ” All that you say to me I will do. ” Pause for a moment

right here…. think about this…. Hitting the floor in that place where you

have chosen to spend time with Abba Father….Now ask yourself (I will do the

same) …. When Abba Father shows up…. Are you willing to say to Him and be

obedient to Him as Ruth was to Naomi? This bears repeating verse (5) ” All

that you say to me I will do.” For Abba Father will give to you specific

instructions giving to you His words to speak to His people. Yet how many

times do we attempt to alter what He has spoken? How many times are we

disobedient to Him in not doing all He has called us to do? Let us read what

Ruth following instructions in verse (7) “And after Boaz had eaten and drunk,

and his heart was cheerful, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of

grain; and she came softly, uncovered his feet, and lay down. ” Do you know

on the floor at midnight things begin to happen? It is time to hit the floor!

Verse (8) “Now it happened at midnight that the man was startled, and turned

himself, and there, a woman was laying at his feet. ” Sometimes you may have

to stay on the floor all night before the LORD until the morning to get a

breakthrough! Are you willing? Read verse (13) “Stay this night, and in the

morning it shall be that if he will perform the duty of a close relative for

you- good; let him do it. But if he does not want to perform the duty for you,

as the LORD lives! Lie down until the morning. “Abba Father will not only

cover you when you hit the floor, He will also hide you verse (14) “So she

lay at his feet until morning, and she arose before one could recognize another!”

Verse (15) ‘ Also he said: Bring the shawl that is on thee and hold it “And

when she held it, he measured six ephahs of barley, and laid it on her. Then

She went into the city. “The time has come for you and me to discipline ourselves

to sit still and wait to see the manifestation of the breakthroughs in our lives.

Naomi says to Ruth in verse (18) “Then she said, sit still, my daughter, until

you know how the matter will turn out, for the man will not rest until he has

concluded the matter this day.”

I admonish you……that not only is it time to hit the floor, whether it is

walking, kneeling, or laying prostrate before Him……it is time to hit the

floor. For truly as Yahweh’s (God’s) people, we have become too caught up in

the cares of this world, we have become too busy and too tired to hit the floor,

and to seek His face. Too exhausted to tarry all night before Him! The reality

is we must check in….. hit the floor to hear directly from the throne room of

Yahweh (God) to make sure we are truly following His instructions……pause

to think about this…. even though we may be sincere in the way we are doing

things…. get this! We could be sincerely wrong. The danger is if we are

walking the floor in disobedience we run the risk of hearing Jesus say to you

and to me from Matthew 25:42:45 (42) ‘ For I was hungry, and you gave me no

food; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink;” (43) “I was a stranger and you

did not take me in, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and

you did not visit me.” (44) ” Then they also will answer Him, saying,” Lord,

when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger, naked, or sick or in

prison, and did not minister to You? ” (45) ” Then He will answer them, saying,

” Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of

these you did not do it to me. ” Pause for a for a few moments to read this

poem the pen wrote….it is entitled A BOAZ BLESSING!

Ruth came quietly…. she uncovered his feet

And lay down next to his feet…at midnight

He awakened and found her there.

She had a special request of him

Cover me with your covering is all she wanted.

Yes, a virtuous woman was Ruth….Boaz being

Much obliged allowed her to stay at his feet

Until dawn…. Within that day Boaz

Redeemed not only the land for her, but he

Also took her hand in marriage…. blessing

Ruth also with bountiful measures of rich barley.

In one day, Ruth’s whole life changed from poverty

To wealth and prosperity…. She received

A Boaz Blessing!

It is time for each of us to hit the floor asking our Heavenly Father….

How do you want this to be done? Asking Him to teach us His way like David,

who cried out to Abba Father in Psalm 27:11 ” Teach me Your way, Oh LORD. ”

Then we must allow His Holy Spirit to teach us! I dare you to hit the floor

to seek the face of Yahweh, the God who redeems then watch as your whole life

changes…. Experience Yahweh (God) usher you into another dimension and like

Ruth, you will receive a Boaz blessing! She received bountiful measures of

rich barley…. Hitting the floor will change your life forever! You will never

be the same! Dare to hit the floor in your home and watch as Abba Father

transforms your entire household! Dare to hit the floor in the church building

where you worship…then watch through the work of the Holy Spirit souls being

delivered and set free through the Resurrection power of Jesus Christ! It is

time to hit the floor so that at the praise gathering lives would be transformed

and souls would be saved for the kingdom…. Be there! He awaits you this

day! It is time to hit the floor!

It is Time to Grow Up

several bunch of grapes

The telephone rang and as I picked up the receiver my mother in law’s voice rang out, “Your daddy wants to talk to you!” His voice echoed, “Margaret, I’m going away, and I want to you to go to the bank and bring me back one thousand dollars in one-dollar bills.” I awakened abruptly and was a bit puzzled, the dream seemed so real. Just then the Word spoke from the Epistle of Ephesians 4:11-12 (11)” And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;” (12)” For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”
Right now, where you are you maybe encountering much turmoil and experiencing heartaches and pain; do you find yourself being filled with anger and all too often overcome by frustration in your own household. Is it also in your workplace and in the Church? While you are thinking about these questions the Word is speaking and the answer is in it. (13)” Till we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” But wait just a minute though, that word just hit me like a thunder bolt. Yes, the dream is much clearer now my father-in-law was letting me know he was making his exit and had given me instructions to grow into full maturity. I hear it, can you hear it, it is time to grow up and come into the maturity in Christ.
Well, my father-in-law has since passed (I miss him greatly) and I have found it to be true, I must grow up. Humbly I knelt in prayer and asked Abba Father to forgive, cleanse me within and bring me into the full maturity of Christ. The next three verses were written on the table of my heart (14)”that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;” (15)”But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ;” (16)”From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”
I hear it like the ringing of the telephone; it’s time to grow up! I will never forget those words, “Margaret, I’m going away, and I want you to go to the bank and bring me back one thousand dollars in one-dollar bills.” One thousand means full maturity, one means order or in time. Revelation came to me that maturity is a process and there are no short cuts it must be step by step and in order; for each step will bring you closer to full maturity. I hear it again and it is worth repeating, it’s time to grow up even as you face turmoil, experience heartaches and excruciating pain. The challenges in your home, on your job and yes, in the Church your maturity in Christ will empower you to be victorious over all because you made the decision to grow up!
Much Love to you and continue to stay the course.

The Hidden Treasure

volcano behind a city hidden in fog

Walking through the streets of the settlement of Sea Grape, Grand Bahama, Bahamas, I saw an unusual sight! There it stood, a slender tree which had grown up outside of the walls of the church and it had surpassed even the roof extending into the skies laden with bright yellow flowers on its branches but no one in the entire church could see it.  I awakened it was all a dream which left me puzzled! The Word spoke up from Isaiah 53 beginning from (1)” Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?” (2)”For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant. And as a root out of dry ground.  He has no form or comeliness; and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.” (3)” He is despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.  And we hid, as it were our faces from Him, He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.” (4)” Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.” (5)” But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” Pause right there and calmly think on the passage of scripture you just read! Now right where you are you may be experiencing grief and sorrow not for the things you have done but because of the hidden treasure in you and you are feeling like not going on.  The Word is speaking from 2 Corinthians 4:7-11 (7)” But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” (8)” We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;” (9)” Persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed,” (10)” always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also maybe manifested in our body.” Kindly read on. (11)” For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.” Can you see the hidden treasure in you above the turmoil and the noise of the Nay Sayers especially your very own? As you ponder on your answer listen to the Word as it resounds again from Isaiah 53:5 “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.’ Listen, can I tell you? Tell me what, you may say? I am so glad you asked and in response I will tell you, Jesus Christ is the KEY to unlocking the hidden treasure within you, to access surrender yourself completely to Him and allow Him to heal your mind, will and emotions! The Word is speaking again, Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” You have been forgiven, now forgive yourself! You are fearfully and wonderfully made precious in the sight of Yahweh, the God who has redeemed you and calls you His beloved! He kept you while you were in your mother’s womb and placed within you hidden gifts to propel you to your divine destiny to bring glory and honour to His name! You are destined for greatness and like the slender tree which grew up outside of the walls of the church those gifts within you are the hidden treasure which will be unveiled for the entire world to see that it is Jesus Christ, the Greater One who rules and reigns on the throne of your heart! Give Him thanks and praise for the hidden treasure is being revealed!

This kind Can Only Come Out by Prayer

From the Gospel of Mark chapter 9 Jesus’ disciples encountered a demon possessed boy and they could not cast the spirit out of him which resulted in quite an uproar among the crowd who had gathered around them: it was the teachers of the law; they were arguing with Jesus’ disciples. The question was asked by Jesus in verse (16) “What are you arguing with them about?’ The boy’s father stood up and answered. Verse (17) “Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech.” Verse (18) “Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid’ I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.” Jesus’ response, verse (19) “O unbelieving generation, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me?” Jesus asked the boy’s father, verse (21) “How long has he been like this?” From childhood, he answered. Verse (22) “it has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him: but if you can do anything, take pity on us, and help us. Jesus responded with the question. Verse (23) “If you can? ‘Everything is possible for him who believes.” The boy’s father humbly exclaimed, verse (24) “I do believe, help me overcome my unbelief!” Jesus saw a crowd running to the scene, he rebuked the evil spirit. You deaf and mute spirit, he said, ‘I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” The defiant spirit response. Verse (26) “The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out of him.” Those who watched thought the boy was dead.’ The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” Verse (27) “But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.” Verse (28) “After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” Take note of Jesus’ reply from verse (27) “This kind can come out only by prayer.

Thought For Today:

Prayer is the key that unlocks faith in our lives. Effective prayer needs both the attitude of complete dependence and the action of asking. Prayer demonstrates our reliance on God as we humbly invite Him to fill us with faith and power. There is no substitute for prayer, especially in circumstances that seem impossible.
