Some years ago, throughout the land there was an awakening among people from every social class and they were going in droves to the house of God for prayer at mid-day. Get this, many of them even took their lunch hour just to go and pray!
While there are still people who consistently pray during the noon day hour there are far too many of us who have fallen away from high noon prayer. The question is though, have you (me too) been too busy to take time to pray at this critical hour? Have you allowed yourself (me too) to become distracted or even gotten lazy in prayer?
Be it known to you this day high noon can be an opportunity to pray against the mid-day curse and the plans of the enemy – read it from the book of Deuteronomy 28:29 NKJV (29) “And you shall grope at noonday, as a blind man gropes in darkness; you shall not prosper in your ways; you shall be only oppressed and plundered continually, and no one shall save you.”
The enemy (Satan) has been launching vicious attacks on the people of God especially during this high point of the day – there is an urgent clarion call for all the men and women of valor, especially the keepers at home wherever you are making it a priority to pray at noon!
Just last week I had an experience I shall not soon forget – the telephone rang and I became distracted from prayer, someone who had a key opened the garage door to my home and came in, it was the sound of the door closing that really bothered me hold on – there is someone at my door, I said to the young lady on the other end of the telephone – she replied, “Okay”. It was very startling to discover there was no one there and the door was closed – glancing over at the clock it read 12:15 p.m., instantly I recognized I had been distracted from being on the prayer wall at twelve noon – I said to the person on the other end of the telephone, “I will call you back.” It was now well past high noon and there was an unsettling presence in my home – then I saw it as it stood in the foyer with a wide form. The Word spoke from Psalm 91:4-6. NKJV (4) “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.” (5) “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day,” (5) “Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.”
I began to walk through my house being unctioned to pray fervently suddenly the evil spirit then made his exit slamming the door on his way out – my home took on an atmosphere as if it had just rained upon the earth!
High noon prayer with consistency can establish a defense against the vicious plans of the enemy to oppress and rob you in everything you do, continue to seek earnestly for God and pray against the enemy at high noon!
As I pondered on with great indignation and wanted to know who this evil spirit was, or could it be a familiar spirit? Or could it be a human spirit who travels by astral projection and dares come into my home and behave as though he is the owner! The Word interrupted me from Isaiah 59:18-19 (18) “According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, fury to His adversaries,
recompense to His enemies; the coastlands He will fully repay.” (19) “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.”
Then I repented of my anger and remembered Ephesians 6:12-18 (12) “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (13) “Therefore, take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” (14) “Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,” (15) “ and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;” (16) “above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.” (17) “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;” (18) “praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.”
Just as it was some years ago throughout the entire land where people from every walk of life were taking time from their busy schedules to go and pray in The LORD’S House at High Noon so shall it be in the weeks and years to come – people are going to hear The Call; even now you are being stirred to pray especially during this high point of the day and as a result of your obedience (me too) you will be able to say personally with bold confidence from Ecclesiastes 4:1 NKJV “I will not be oppressed under the sun; I have the Comforter the Holy Spirit!”
Can you hear the clarion High Noon Prayer Alert? Pray! Pray! Pray especially for you who are keepers of your homes!
Pray consistently and persistently at High Noon each day! Be encouraged and empowered by God’s Holy Spirit to “Pray without ceasing!” Much Love!
